SQL interface via ODBC

You can use ODBC to connect to another database, which is then available for use in the client programming interface. You can then issue SQL commands directly from your program without the clients requiring direct access to the database. Text, numbers and Boolean values can be signalled – everything which can be represented as readable text. Binary data are not supported.

Make sure you take account of the licensing regulations of your database provider.

Click on „Settings“ and the configuration dialog will appear.

After the product has been installed for the first time the dialog will be empty. Click on „Data source".

Choose your data source. You can disable certain keywords. You can that the response packets should be delivered in text or XML format. Further information is available in the Programmer’s Guide of the TAPIMaster® SDK.

The interface is now activated.
